Important Update: Co-Performer Consent Forms

Here’s everything you need to know.

By Pornhub | March 27, 2026 | 4 minutes

TLDR:

  • Consent forms that were submitted and approved 2+ years ago will expire on May 1.
  • As of May 1, new videos with co-performers whose consent has expired will stay pending until a more recent release form is submitted.
  • To avoid this, upload a more recent form in April for co-performers whose consent is set to expire.
  • If you haven’t worked with that co-performer since the original collab and don’t have a more recent form, contact our support team for assistance.
  • Existing videos will NOT be removed if a co-performer’s consent expires.
  • There’s no need to update old release forms or contact past co-performers.
  • This update ensures new release forms are submitted when you work with the same co-performer repeatedly.

We recently announced an update to our co-performer consent requirements and spoke with a bunch of Models to clarify how this will work. We took some notes and wanted to share more information to help clear up any misunderstandings and support you through this update.

Here’s what you need to know about our updated requirements, as well as answers to some of the most common questions we’ve received!

Why Are We Making This Update?

A lot can change overtime relationships, working arrangements, and personal circumstances all evolve. When new content is being produced with the same co-performer, we want to make sure that the consent on file reflects the current reality of that working relationship. An older release form doesn't capture that.

To be clear, this update does not change or replace your existing record-keeping obligations. You are still required to obtain and retain a valid consent form for every scene featuring a co-performer.

By reconfirming consent at regular intervals, we help ensure that documentation stays current, that everyone involved is protected, and that Pornhub continues to set the highest standard for trust, safety, and compliance in the industry.

What’s Changing?

  • Starting in May: If you upload new content with a co-performer whose release form was approved over 2 years ago, you’ll need to submit a new form (signed and dated within the last 6 months).
  • New videos featuring co-performers with expired consent will stay pending until a more recent form is submitted. If one is not available, contact our support team for assistance.
  • The 2-year period is based on the approval date in our system (not the signature date).
  • You’ll see consent expiration dates on your list of Co-Performers and will have a few weeks’ notice to submit a more recent form.

What About My Existing Content?

Good news: Your existing content will NOT be removed if a co-performer’s consent expires.
This update only affects new uploads with expired co-performer consent.

Who Does This Apply To?

This update only applies to consent/release forms that have been manually submitted on behalf of your co-performer.
It does NOT apply if your co-performer:

  • Used our eSignature verification link to verify themselves, or

  • Was verified through our internal Collaborators tagging system where Pornhub models are tagged in your videos.

What If I Want to Upload an edited Video from an Old Collaboration Scene?

If you want to upload a teaser or edit from a collab that was filmed a long time ago and you haven’t worked with that same co-performer again, follow these steps:

  1. Upload the video as usual.
  2. Upload the same release form you have from the original shoot.
  3. Email support to explain that you don’t have a new form because the video was filmed years ago and you haven’t worked with that co-performer again. Our team will help you find a solution.

What Should I Do Now?

  • Still working with the co-performer? Upload their latest consent form when prompted, approximately 4 weeks before the current form expires.
  • Co-performer is a verified Pornhub Model? Skip the paperwork submissions and send them a Collaborator request to tag them in future uploads.
  • Can’t get a new form? There may be many reasons why you may not have more recent documentation for a co-performer. You may no longer have contact with them, the content may have been filmed years ago, or the co-performer may have passed away. Whatever the reason, there's no need to recreate forms or track anyone down. Just let us know and we'll work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Need Help or Have Questions?

We know many models upload older content or edited versions of older content and won’t have new paperwork. That’s okay!

If you’re stuck or unsure, just reach out to our support team and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.
